We believe in freedom and flexibility. As ATR Softer you can choose many things. Choose the foreperson that suits you best from our steering group members. If you are not happy, change and choose someone else. If you want to change your work assignments or job role, go ahead. We inform all possibilities openly to everyone. We offer a variety of opportunities across diverse customer projects and services, as well as within our own product and SaaS development.

As ATR Softer, you have a chance to try different kinds of projects, products and customers. Competence is not what matters most but your interest is. Possibility to change work assignments was rated 4.1/5 in the Employee Survey 2025.

All this is because we want you to stay with us. If you are not happy, you can change many things and there’s no need to find a new workplace to make things happen. We don’t either measure work through targets set on individuals employees. That gives you the space to breathe and try.

Do your work where it gets best done. That was our mantra already before the pandemic.

We give you the freedom to decide what is best for you. Of course, we take into account if the customer wants to meet face-to-face or if the work otherwise requires that. But normally it’s up to you.

We have developed our hybrid working methods in recent years to work better. Currently, ATR Softers find them working well (4.7/5 in Employee Survey 2025).

If you choose, you can also work in our modern office in Kupittaa, which has peaceful work rooms and spacious common and play areas. There is a great view towards Turku Cathedral, and you can enjoy daylight during the day. The office attracts various ATR Softers every day, and you’ll get company for lunch and the two o’clock coffee break. There are many good lunch restaurants nearby, and several have special ATR prices.

Every two weeks, we enjoy an ATR Breakfast together at the office to share knowledge about our projects and the latest technical topics. You can also join the sessions online – as all our internal meetings.

As ATR Softer, you can deepen your competence by spending one workday every month learning something new that would benefit you now or in the future.

We do our part to support the future of the software industry by welcoming trainees and juniors. It’s not just about hiring experienced seniors; we believe juniors should have a space to grow and develop their skills as software professionals. 

Our commitment isn’t just about responsibility; we genuinely enjoy having juniors on board. They bring valuable fresh insight and challenge the “this is how we do things” attitude.

As a trainee or junior, you are an equal ATR Softer like any of us. You get real independent work to do, but we understand that you are not a full professional yet.
